So I just created a Hyena Variant for the game I’m running. Is it possible to make an animal companion using a custom creature (animal) that we’ve added?
Thank you, I knew I was missing something obvious. I caught a small omission for one of the abilities: Powerful Jaws (Ex), it should increase the threat range for a bite (19-20), but it doesn’t appear to modify it. I’m looking at the attack entry for 0-Natural-Bite.
Hi, I am creating a wolf animal companion, Druid level 9 and it seems to be missing an attack. At that level, the animal companion receives a bonus feat, multiattack. In the CRB under animal companions, this feat is described somewhat differently as it is described in the monster feat description. What it says is: “An animal companion gains Multiattack as a bonus feat if it has three or more natural attacks and does not already have that feat. If it does not have the requisite three or more natural attacks, the animal companion instead gains a second attack with its primary natural weapon, albeit at a –5 penalty.” It is the second part which I don’t see being applied for the wolf animal companion as he still only has one bite attack?
Thanks for reporting, it looks as if I was adding the favoured class bonus to the animal companion. I’ve now taken this off, so it should be correct now.
Hi to all.. is there a problem on calculating strength of companions?(findings seem to point to a +1 increase without reasoning, except please clarify strong (skill focus) and source to find it.

Yes, use the template “Animal Companion” when creating it.

Here’s a reference for that ability:

I’d give it the improved critical feat as a free feat

Thanks for pointing this out (I didn’t know), I’ve now fixed this.
Hi, could Grizzly Bear be added as an option?
I’ve added the Grizzly Bear
Also hp are calculated for d8 average 5.5 and not 4.5. Is this a discrepancy to the rules for Animal companions?

Hi, the +1 strength comes from an attribute increase at 4th level.
Can Ram be added as an option? Ram
