Echidna , High Priestess of Nerull (Medusa Cleric D&D 3.5 CR 22 )
Echidna is the High Priestess of Nerull the God of Death, Darkness and Murder. The temple of Nerull is in the catacombs below the Dragon City.
Echinda wears a dark red cape when in the temple, her head is always covered under the cape’s large hood. Her followers are those assassins and murderers which take a particular enjoyment in there work. Echinda performs a ritual of sacrifice on the 13th of every month, the victims are normally taken from lower middle class citizens, she prefers those who seem timid and are likely to cry and beg.
At night Echidna will wander the streets of the Dragon City in disguise looking out for sacrificial victims, and new followers for Nerull. If she comes across a very handsome or beautiful subject she will attempt to seduce her victim and take them to her rooms, there she will temp her victims into disrobing. Then she will reveal her true form and turn the beauty to stone. She will then either keep her new statue, or sell it to one of the specialist art collectors she knows.
