NPC 37

Golden Harold the Crazy Doomsayer (Half-Celestial Half-Orc Cleric D&D 3.5 CR 14)

Harold was born with golden skin and wings that marked him as a special baby. this was a bit too much for the Orc tribe his mother belonged to and both were kicked out as freaks just after his birth. Harold’s mother half starving crept into a human village looking for food. She was discovered by the village priest who discovering the miracle  baby took in the two of them.

The village grew to expect powers from Harold, and indeed, he became an accomplished cleric for the power of Good.

Recently Harold, after being hit on the head by a rock thrown by a fire giant, has been having premonitions about the end of the world, and has become a follower of the Death god. Though still basically good his addled thoughts are that by dying you become closer to the gods, and the gods are the only beings able to bring true judgment to the races. Thus he has started giving out a lot of death sentences, for even the lowliest of crimes. He believes the world is about to end in the very near future, so he’s  not actually murdering, but bringing forward their inevitable godly judgments by a few days.

The village are now devoted followers of Harold, and are doing what they can to spread the word, “The End is Nigh!”
